"I Shall Not Die, But Live To DECLARE The Glory Of God" - Psalm 118:17
LeShawn Daniel is a singer/songwriter and native of Louisville, Kentucky, who has been graced to put heartfelt lyrics to melodious tunes. Like most vocalists, he began singing publicly in the church, while at the same time pursuing a secular music career with a local Rap/R&B group called "TLN". With such musical influences as Lauryn Hill and many others, he started a road in the direction of a classic soul sound. It wasn't until his conversion in the turn of the millennium that he found his divine purpose in the message of the gospel that he was to convey to the masses of people that would come to know as he puts it "The Real God". In 2003 he was privileged to be one of the writers for a Unityfest CD project, which was a benefit album for charity. Unityfest began as a concert that featured the likes of The Clark Sisters, Israel Houghton, Tye Tribett, Martha Munizzi, Donald Lawrence, Kurt Carr, and many more but later matriculated into a city-wide vision to bring people together. The song LeShawn wrote for the CD was simply titled "Just Worship", and it was instrumental in bringing him from obscurity to the place he is in now. Being motivated by faith, he released his first demo project in 2007 rightfully titled "Songs of Deliverance" which put him on circuit. Then there was the Summer 2008 release of "My Endeavor" which garnered him a 2009 Rhythm Of Gospel Award nomination as "Contemporary Male Vocalist Of The Year". Also there is the October 31st, 2009 re-release of the Christmas CD re-titled "What The World Needs". In early 2009, LeShawn recorded the song "Got Somewhere To Go" which has since become an anthem for many around the globe, including Africa and he was named Crunk For Christ's 2010 "Artist Of The Year" ; later the song will be released under the independent unit Soul Music Entertainment Group, currently in workings for the first major studio project simply titled "Everytime" (Coming 2011). The first official single which is changing lives now is called "Song Of Restoration", AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE ON iTUNES!!! Called a man of many hats, with talents that have yet to be tapped into, He is also an author, with four books published and released: " My First Love " (2005); " The Special Edition: My First Love " (2007) " Too Much Weight " (2007) and the newest release " The Truth About Grace " (2008). LeShawn has done some modeling/acting, featured in several stage plays, including Altia Conner's " Real Love Don't Hurt ", " There's A Blessing In The Storm ", the Kristal Calloway & New Life production of " Let's Talk About It" and the most recent being the Precious Stone Production " I Can't Wait ". Only God knows whats on the horizon for this unique voice.
